People often call to ask if we know what might be happening to older plants that are struggling. Sometimes it is an easy answer, but often it is a difficult thing to diagnose over the phone. Although we wish we had an arborist on site, we are not plant doctors, so we wanted to share the resource we use when we see an issue with plants.
We usually refer people to the UW-Extension page where they can carefully read through all of the potential causes, as these experts are the best source for answers. Their information is up-to-date, informative, and provides scientifically proven methods for dealing with all plant issues.
You are enjoying the mid-summer roses, until one day you notice the buds are being completely devoured. What is going on?
Your shrubs were beautiful last year and this year, you have noticed rust-colored areas on them. What is happening?
While we love trees, and know how to take excellent care of our trees, we are not trained to identify disease. If you have an issue with a tree you can't bear to lose, and we can't give you an answer, we recommend finding an arborist who can give you an answer along with the best possible solution to your problem!
