 The Kickapoo Valley Reserve is an 8,600-acre tract of public land located between the villages of La Farge and Ontario in southwestern Wisconsin.  Sandstone outcroppings tower over the Kickapoo River as you paddle its quiet waters while native plants and animals abound in all seasons. Horseback riding is allowed. The dinner menu is ever-changing and often isn’t finalized until early in the afternoon, allowing our chefs to fully utilize our seasonal focus and freshness in the menu concepts. 

Branches' wine portfolio includes cold climate wines  produced from 10 varieties of grapes, plus other local fruits. Enjoy wood fired pizza and wonderful, locally grown wines. 

It is true! This is a local secret, tucked in the hills of Soldiers Grove, and a place you don't want to miss. In an unassuming building,  the nuns of the St. Francis Hermitage make the most exquisite meals and French baked goods. It is all organic, most of which comes from their farm, and not made until you order. The croissants are like nothing you have had before. This is a non-profit and all proceeds go to help local people in need. Also, be sure to visit the Divine Mercy Shrine and gift shop.

 If you are looking for a sweet treat on your drive, Highway 14 Ice Cream in Readstown is a cute little destination for sweet treats. Hours vary, but usually, she is open in the afternoons/evenings Wed-Sunday.
