after you stop and spend some time with us at the nursery.

Hours vary based on the season. Please refer to the website's hours or check Facebook to see when we are open.
The Kickapoo Valley Reserve is an 8,600-acre tract of public land located between the villages of La Farge and Ontario in southwestern Wisconsin. Sandstone outcroppings tower over the Kickapoo River as you paddle its quiet waters while native plants and animals abound in all seasons. Horseback riding is allowed. See website for any permits needed!

It is true! This is a local secret, tucked in the hills of Soldiers Grove, and a place you don't want to miss. In an unassuming building, the nuns of the St. Francis Hermitage make the most exquisite meals and French baked goods. It is all organic, most of which comes from their farm, and not made until you order. The croissants are like nothing you have had before. This is a non-profit and all proceeds go to help local people in need. Also, be sure to visit the Divine Mercy Shrine and gift shop.
People flock to this area for the Class A trout streams and no one can help anglers more than the good folks at the Driftless Angler. Whether you need flies, supplies, maps, or even a place to stay, they've got you covered!
